Scheduled Camping

New for 2011/12 we are delighted to introduce our scheduled departure camping trips. Enjoy exploring some of the parts of Oman that are off the beaten track. With like-minded travellers and camp in some of the most remote parts of the country where very few travellers venture. On our scheduled departure camping trips all meals are included, most of the time prepared by your own cook. Breakfast and hot dinner are served in the camp, and lunch will either be a freshly prepared picnic or taken in a local restaurant. All water and soft drinks are included. Our trips are led by experienced Omani guides who speak a variety of languages. For scheduled departures we limit the total amount of participants to 16 and accept guests of all ages. Northern Loop – 4 Nights

While this route is fairly popular showing off some of the cultural highlights of Oman, travelling with our Elite Travel and Tourism guides will show you sights and places most people do not stop and see.

From travelling through Nakhal and over the top of the Hajar Mountains, with their spectacular scenery, through to the ruins at Sinew and getting up close and personal with the Bedouin in the Wahiba Sands.

North to South – 7 Nights

Travel between the two biggest cities in Oman, stopping at some of the most spectacular sights and scenery that the country has to offer. Leaving Muscat you head into the mountains and the cultural capital Nizwa. You cross the Wahiba Sands and enjoy time at Ras Al Rues and other stunning beach side locations like Khaluf Bay and Ras Madrakah.

Wahiba to South – 5 Nights

Our Wahiba to South itinerary takes in virtually the same route as the North to South route but omits the mountains and Nizwa for those not interested in this area or who have less time. It still shows off the highlights of the untouched Indian Ocean coast and is one for the real adventurers looking to travel overland from Muscat to Salalah.
