Tours and Excursions
We offer full range of sightseeing tours and excursions in Muscat , Salalah, Khasab and Musandam to give our visitors deeper insight of the history, heritage and future of the Sultanate.

Muscat Excursions:

Muscat City Tour (4 hours morning tour)
We take you on a journey through 1001 nights, beginning with the world's 4 th biggest mosque, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, followed by visits to the fish market, the traditional Muttrah souq and a museum. We pass by the ancient forts of Mirani & Jelali, Old Muscat and make a photo stop at the city palace Al Alam. (For the visit of the mosque, ladies require to wear a headscarf, long skirt or trousers and long sleeves. Men must wear long trousers).

Dolphin Watch (Al Bustan 3 hours: 8:00       11:00 hrs, no transfer, other hotels 3½ hours: 7:30       11:00 hrs, inc. transfer)

You will embark on a boat ride to search for Oman 's wild dolphins and whales, which can be found within close proximity to the coast almost all year round. Not every trip guarantees a sighting but alone the panorama of Muscat 's rugged lava mountains is worthwhile getting up so early. We serve you soft drinks, tea, coffee and sandwiches.

Oman 's Fortresses (10 hours)
This journey takes you through the Hajjar Mountains into the country's interior. You visit the silver capital Nizwa with its 17 th century round tower fort, the silver souk and the Friday cattle auction. Passing by the UNESCO listed Bahla fort and village, famous for its pottery, you enter Oman 's finest castle Jabrin, built in the late 17 th century. It displays beautiful ceiling paintings and woodcarving. On the way back you enjoy a walk through the date plantations of Birkat Al Mauz, an old village on the foot of the Jebel Akhdar. Lunch included.

Desert Safari and Oasis Trail (11 hours)
The expedition begins early morning and will lead you to the Wahiba Sands, the desert of the red and white dunes of which some reach 200 m high. You will stop at a bedouin house and ride on camels. As a contrast you will visit one of Oman 's most scenic oasis, Wadi Bani Khalid. In this lush greenery you have the chance to picnic and swim.

Oman 's Coast and Wadi Shaab (11 hours)
Join us to drive off road along the coast line to enjoy the beautiful panorama and blue waters of the Gulf of Oman . After driving through the scenic Wadi Shaab, you will visit the Bimah sinkhole, a spectacular lime stone crater filled with green water and make a photo stop at the ruin of Mariam's tomb. The return to Muscat is on the tarmac road.

A Batinah Bash (8 hours)
We take you along the Batinah coast to the fort and hot springs of Nakhl. Afterwards we visit Wakan village, known for its terrace farming before we enter Wadi Abiyad, the white wadi, which got its name from the white sedimentation. We will cross the wadi through the beautiful mountains and small water pools.

The Grand Canyon (11 hours)
This expedition will take you through the Hajjar Mountains to the silver city Nizwa and its round tower fort where we halt for a quick photo stop. Through Wadi Nakher we reach the pretty mountain village Misfah, famous for its archaic stone houses. On the way to the heights of Jebel Shams (over 3000 m) we pass by the terrace-farming village of Wadi Ghul . Reaching the top of our journey you will have a spectacular view several hundred meters down into the canyon.

The Giant Green Turtles of Ras Al Hadd (20 hours)
The journey starts in the afternoon from Muscat via Ibra to Sur, the village of the dhow wharves. You camp overnight at Ras Al Hadd, where you can see the rare nesting ground of the Giant Green Turtles, an endangered species. Omani rangers will escort you to the location where the mothers lay their eggs, while the babies are hatching from the neighboring nest, heading towards the sea. It is a once in a lifetime experience. On the next day, after breakfast, you will return to Muscat .

Sunset Dhow Cruise (Al Bustan 2½ hours, no transfer, other hotels 3 hours, inc. transfer)
You embark on a dhow cruise to see Muscat through the eyes of Sindbad the Sailor, an ancient seafarer. Have a brief stop at a natural cove and photograph the world famous Al Bustan Palace Hotel before returning back to the pier for the return transfer to the hotel. Soft drinks, coffee, tea and dates are served on board.

Snorkellling       Enjoy the extraordinary treasures of the reefs of Oman . Access secluded white sand beaches, where you can swim amongst beautiful fishes and corals. Catch the wonders of life underwater in Oman 's pristine waters. Its fun and easy.

Salalah Excursions:
 

Salalah the City of Frankincense
When in the southern capital Salalah, visit with us the gardens of the country, where coconuts, bananas and papayas grow. You will see the tomb of prophet Job, the ruins of the palace of the Queen of Sheba, the blowhole of Mughsayl and the traditional frankincense market.

Tour of West Salalah
AM start the tour of West Salalah . We drive to the QARA Mountain to visit the tomb of "JOB" and his old Mosque and see his right foot print, drive to the beautiful White sand beach of Mughsail where you could view the creek where lots of migratory birds and seasonal birds gather. Visit the Marnif cave and the blow holes, a natural wonder where the sea burst dramatically up at regular intervals during the high tide. Drive up the mountain where the road takes you to the border of Yemen , this road offers a breathtaking view of the lime stone and volcanic mountains.

Empty Quarter Tour
After breakfast a full day 4WD adventure tour to the Empty Quarter and the lost city of Ubar .

Ubar was one of the ancient city where the trader's of incense used to stop for feeding of camel and collecting water during their cross along the empty quarter to Saudi Arabia . We drive past the Qara mountain stopping at a Bedouin village of Thumrait for toilet and refreshing, continue the drive till we reach Ubar to see the ruins and the small museum and we then drive towards the Empty Quarter till we reach the golden sand dunes approximately the height of around 700 feet. Picnic lunch will be served at a spot chosen by your driver cum guide.

East Salalah Tour
The tour starts with a visit to the TAQA fishing village with an interesting castle surrounded by watchtowers and the TAQA stone houses, drive along the seaside location completed with a sandy stretch and a broad swathe of coconut palms. Drive to the top of the hill to get a panoramic view of the town and beach with the possibility of witnessing Dolphins, visit the TAQA castle and then drive to Sumhuram Queen Sheba the frankincense port which was the main point to dispatch frankincense, mure, Arabian horses and slaves from the 01 st to the 07 th century. Drive to the creek to witness migratory birds like flamingos, seagulls, heron and waders. Visit Mirbat city the ancient capital of Dhofar admired for its beautiful old coral Dhofari /Yemeni styled houses, some houses can be over 700 years old, drive through the town, visit the fishing port, the cemetery area to see the Bin Ali's tomb the twin domed structure and other ancient tombs. Bin Ali was the first man who brought the message from the prophet to the people to embrace Islam. The age of his tomb is over 950 years old. On the way back to Salalah visit the magnetic mountain and Ayn Razat which the last stop located at the foot of the Qara Mountain with its natural springs and small cave beside that a small flower garden.

Salalah City Tour
The tour of Salalah starts with a visit to the gold souq where a variety of oriental gold and silver is sold. Stop at the central market with its buzzing and lively atmosphere, walk past the palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and arrive at the frankincense souk where the fragrances of the orient come together. Drive along the sea side to arrive at the ruined city of Al Baleed archaeological park, which was the famous second port to dispatch the frankincense and mure from the 7 th to the 14 th century. Then, drive through the coconut and banana gardens stopping at a fruit stall for a nice refreshing coconut drink, photo stop at the biggest mosque, visit the site of the Prophet Saleh's sacred camel foot print, old ruined houses, visit the souq of meat/fish and vegetables.
